The Welch Allyn iExaminer adapter allows users to turn their PanOptic Ophthalmoscope into a mobile digital imaging device. Compatible with certain Apple iPhone models, the iExaminer system allows you to view and take pictures of the eye like youve never done before.
The adapter aligns the optical access of the PanOptic Ophthalmoscope to the visual axis of the iPhone camera to capture high resolution* pictures of the fundus and retinal nerve. The iExaminer App then allows you to store the pictures to a patient file or email and print them.
The PanOptic Ophthalmoscope provides a 5x larger view of the fundus than a standard Welch Allyn ophthalmoscope and 25 field-of-view without having to dilate the pupil, meaning the fundus imaging can happen anytime, anywhere.
The Welch Allyn iExaminer App is a required component to capture, store, send and retrieve fundus images. Free and Pro versions are available for Apple iPhone 6 and 6s. Requires iOS 10 or newer, however an alternative app is available for customers without iOS 10 or newer.
